# preview

> Serve a page that plays the document and can export it on this machine's GPU.

clayzo preview <document.json> [--port <n>]
```

Starts a local server and prints its URL. The page plays the document, scrubs, and has an export panel that renders on the GPU in the browser tab. See [Previewing and review](/authoring/previewing) for the controls.

| Option | Description |

| `--port <n>` | Listen on a fixed port instead of a free one. |

The server prints its process id on startup and holds its port until stopped with ctrl-c or `kill <pid>`. It stops itself after ten minutes with no browser attached.

Requires a sign in. Accepts a `.json` document; assets and fonts resolve relative to it.
