# render-frame

> Render one frame, a labelled sheet of frames, or the loop seam.

```text theme={null}
clayzo render-frame <document.json> [output.png] [options]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--tick <n>` | Render the frame at this tick. Default 0. |
| `--samples <n>` | Spread `n` ticks evenly across the document into one labelled sheet. |
| `--seam` | Render the last displayed frame beside the first and report their difference. |
| `--max-dimension <px>` | Bound the longer side of the render. |
| `--full-resolution` | Render at the document's size. Conflicts with `--max-dimension`. |

## Examples

A sheet to judge motion, the default check after any change:

```bash theme={null}
npx clayzo render-frame animations/hero.json sheet.png --samples 6 --max-dimension 320
```

An exact frame at full size, for a poster or an OG image:

```bash theme={null}
npx clayzo render-frame animations/hero.json poster.png --tick 300 --full-resolution
```

A loop seam:

```bash theme={null}
npx clayzo render-frame animations/loop.json seam.png --seam
```

## Output

JSON on stdout with the output path, the ticks rendered, the dimensions and a diagnostics count. Sampled ticks from `--samples` are spread evenly and not snapped to frames; use `--tick` for an exact frame. Parallel calls are cheap.
