# review

> Write a revision-bound review packet: review.json, contact-sheet.png and frames/.

```text theme={null}
clayzo review <document.json> [output-directory] [options]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--backgrounds <a,b,c>` | Backgrounds to render each sample on. Default `checker,light,dark`. |
| `--max-dimension <px>` | Bound the longer side of each frame. Default 512. |
| `--full-resolution` | Render at the document's size. Conflicts with `--max-dimension`. |

## What it writes

| File | Contents |
| - | - |
| `review.json` | The document revision, the sampled ticks, `analysis.diagnostics` (blank frames, clipping, contrast, motion) and per-frame renderer diagnostics under `frames[].rendererDiagnostics` |
| `contact-sheet.png` | Every sample on every background, labelled |
| `frames/` | The individual frames |

Samples are chosen across the timeline, weighted toward where keyframes are dense. Text documents normally carry a `text.shaping_fallback` diagnostic; it means deterministic glyph measurement was used and is not an error.

Run it before shipping rather than after every edit; a frame sheet from [`render-frame`](/cli/render-frame) is the quick check.

Requires a sign in.
